The Ahi guilds and labour: the guild calendar against seasonal workload

Abstract

The calendar of the Anatolian guild system is read together with the seasonal distribution of agricultural labour. The question is how the working rhythm of craft institutions was adapted to the farming calendar, and how that adaptation was written into institutional rules.
